Project: U19 Youth Trophy
My role in the development of this youth trophy was to develop a concept which could create a story around which FIBA could use for marketing and exposure. The trophy should represent the idea of youth whilst still maintaining a prestigious execution.

The Rising Star
The U19 trophy is centred around the image of a star ascending to greatness, rising to the peak of their sport. It reflects the nature of a youth player making their journey towards the summit of their carrers as a professional basketball players.
The star symbolises the 5 players of a basketball team and is rendered in a modern fractal approach adorned with basketball related details.
A basketball rises up through the central point of the trophy form lifting up its direction towards a dynamic summit.
A release video was commisioned by the FIBA marketing team to announce the new trophies for mens and womens U19’s.
This would be used across social channels and on FIBA.com to generate engagement from Basketball fans.
I worked with the 3D and Motion departments to help storyboard and conceptualise how the video might come together and to ensure the initial concepts are articulated in the video.
